  1. Fan so far!
    This is an honest review of my experience with Beeper. If you don’t want to read everything, basically it works well for my needs, but I am curious about how they are making money from this. I’ve been using Beeper off and on since it first came out. Since the first release, the app has improved significantly. The creators seem to be working constantly on improving the user experience, removing bugs, and increasing compatibility with other apps. The user experience has improved drastically since the early days, and while it isn’t exactly the same as the real apps (Instagram, etc.) it is comparable to the DM system of Instagram. Personally, I use this app to limit my screen time on social media platforms.

  2. Helpful for Social Media Addicts
    Genuinely so grateful for this app. I wanted to delete all my social media apps while studying for the LSAT because I was addicted and wasting so much time, but my friend group chat was on Instagram which made it difficult. Beeper allows me to keep in contact with my friends while avoiding the temptation to scroll. Screen time and mental health have improved drastically.

  3. It’s great! But…
    I love using this app instead of going on Instagram to reply to DMs. One thing I would like to see improved though is the muting of chats. I’ve noticed when someone directly replies to your message, the notification still goes through.

  4. Exactly what I need!
    The best and only app on iOS that perfectly meets my need for a pure Twitter (X) chatting experience! Most of the previous issues have been solved with recent updates. There’s just a small issue with sending pictures — it often says the image is too large even when the actual file size is under 5MB.

  5. Love the app, just one thing.
    This app is honestly life changing. My only gripe is that I can't start new DMs with people other than those already in my existing DMs.

    Beeper is genuinely well designed and well implemented -- feature parity with the original platforms in almost all cases.

  7. Functional, lots of potential
    My biggest thing I’d like to see improved is with Instagram reels and posts with multiple photos that were sent through DMs on Instagram– it would be great if those could be viewed in Beeper without it opening on a web browser.
